About

I’m an award winning filmmaker and director whose work explores how we inform the next generation in our complex cultures. Growing up in New Orleans taught me the deep value of culture, community, and art — a foundation I bring into every story I tell. I love collaborating with those looking to create work that’s culturally resonant, emotionally intelligent, and rooted in real communities.

I’ve had the privilege of producing and directing commercial and independent projects for artists like Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X, and I’m now expanding my focus on branded doc campaigns that engage audiences with purpose and heart.

My most recent short documentary Stud Country (2024) is currently on its festival circuit, having screened at Tribeca Film Festival winning the Challenger Spirit award and winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Doc at Full Frame Film Festival making it Oscar qualifying. The film is available online at LA Times and on WePresent x WeTransfer. You can hear me talk about the film on LA Times Today.

My directorial debut, the short documentary Wild Magnolias (2023) received the Jazz and Heritage Community Partnership Grant and screened at multiple Oscar-qualifying film festivals across the country where it found a permanent stay in the historical archive at the New Orleans Jazz Museum and the New Orleans Museum of Art. It is also available online at Al Jazeera, Short of the Week and Aoen Magazine.
